Dan Bern to Present Painting Exhibition and Perform Live at Art Farm Iowa this Summer
Iowa Native Returns with Visual Art, Music, and a Songwriter’s Workshop
Art Farm Iowa is proud to announce a summer celebration of music and visual art with acclaimed singer-songwriter and painter Dan Bern, who will showcase his original paintings in an exclusive exhibition running from July 4 through August 31, 2025. The exhibition will open with a special FREE Independence Day concert on Friday, July 4th from 7:00-9:30 p.m. followed by second fan performance on Sunday, July 6th from 3:00-5:30 p.m. Tickets for this exclusive second performance will be $10 and are available here. Two opportunities to hear Bern’s signature blend of sharp wit, storytelling, and folk-rock energy in the unique setting of Art Farm Iowa.
In addition to his live performances and art exhibition, Bern will lead a two-day Songwriter’s Workshop on July 2 and 3, giving aspiring musicians and seasoned songwriters alike the rare chance to learn from one of America’s most distinctive creative voices. About Dan Bern:
Dan Bern is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, novelist, and painter. His music has been compared to that of Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, Bruce Springsteen, and Elvis Costello. He is a prolific composer, having written over one thousand songs.
Bern describes his music as “undefinable by genre, crossing over and through folk, rock, singer songwriter, and kids' music" with sardonic, literary lyrics. He has toured with Ani DiFranco, The Who, and Roger Daltrey.
Dan Bern is a member of the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
